At JSW Energy, we are at the forefront of energy transition. With energy generation and energy storage, we steer on an ambitious target to achieve 48% reduction (from a base of 2020) in carbon footprint by 2030 and become carbon neutral by 2050.
During the year, we delivered on our medium term target we had set for ourselves in 2021, and surpassed 10 GW generation capacity by FY 2025 – doubling our installed capacity over the past three years, recording the highest-ever EBITDA and PAT in our history. Our diverse range of energy solutions gives us a distinct competitive advantage while delivering higher returns.
Our locked-in generation capacity of 30 GW comprises 21 GW (70%) renewables while locked-in energy storage capacity stands at 29.3 GWh. In addition, the company has invested in Green Hydrogen manufacturing of 3,800 TPA and is also investing in equipment manufacturing of wind turbine blades to de-risk our supply chain.
Championing an accelerated growth, we are charting our course for FY 2030 with Strategy 3.0. We remain well-placed to achieve 20 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh/5GW energy storage capacity, significantly ahead of our stated timeline of FY 2030, and therefore we are revising our target to 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh energy storage capacity by FY 2030.
With a well-diversified portfolio in power generation, and new-age businesses in energy storage, energy products & services, foray into green hydrogen and equipment manufacturing, we have established a strong presence in India’s energy sector, focused on maximising cash returns.
Our world-class and integrated energy solutions and project execution capabilities are aimed at bringing about a comprehensive transformation in energy efficiency, and reimagining the entire energy landscape.
With new offerings in power ecosystem, a robust balance sheet for renewable-led growth well- supported by value-accretive acquisitions, we support India in its journey towards a Net Zero carbon future. As we drive towards a more sustainable and inclusive future, we remain responsible, resilient, resolute, and impactful in a rapidly changing world.
India remains steadfast in moving towards its ambitious clean energy transition goals and net zero emissions, achieving the fastest pace of renewable capacity addition amongst the major economies. The energy sector is advancing towards a sustainable and secure future, well on track to achieve the 500 GW renewable energy target it set for itself by 2030, poised to become the third-largest renewable energy producer globally, and set to achieve Net Zero carbon neutrality by 2070.
