JSW Energy Limited, the energy vertical of the USD 23 billion JSW Group, operates and continues to strengthen its presence across the energy value chain — encompassing power generation, transmission, power trading, mining, energy storage, and green hydrogen. We operate a well-diversified generation portfolio across Thermal, Hydro, and Renewable assets, with a strong focus on integrating multiple renewable sources and delivering dispatchable and customised energy solutions. Our commitment lies in providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable power while supporting the nation’s broader goals of energy security, transition and self-reliance.
JSW Energy is a diversified energy company present across all modes of generation and storage, looking at backward integration for supply chain de-risking, and forward integration by foraying into the electrons to molecules business.

At JSW Energy, we are building a robust and future-ready energy platform anchored in diversity, resilience, and innovation. Our generation portfolio spans across thermal, hydro, solar, and wind assets, enabling us to offer a stable and balanced energy mix. Beyond generation, we are strengthening our presence across the broader energy value chain — operating existing assets in transmission and mining, while actively expanding into energy storage, green hydrogen, and equipment manufacturing. Our approach is centred on delivering customised, end-to-end energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers and the grid.
With a strong foundation and strategic clarity, we are firmly on track to achieve our target of 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030, supporting India’s clean energy transition and long-term energy security.
Having surpassed the milestone of 10 GW installed generation capacity in FY 2025, we are building on this momentum with a clear focus on scaling our capacity threefold by the end of the decade. In our pursuit to become a 30 GW power company by FY 2030, we are driving a significant transformation in our energy portfolio — anchored in green power and supported by responsible thermal generation — to align with the nation’s energy security imperatives. In parallel, we are establishing a strong foothold in the energy storage space, targeting 40 GWh of capacity to enable reliable, dispatchable and flexible power supply for a sustainable future.
Given our strong foundation and fundamentals, and with our strong balance sheet and healthy cash flow generation, we are well-positioned to achieve the FY 2030 target. With our growth plans in place, we are adding new capacities and strengthening our organisational capabilities.
Making continuous improvement in assets to generate low-cost power to reduce offtake and receivable risks; Executing long-term PPAs with visibility on stable long-term cash flows and revenues
Investing free cash flows in returns-accretive capital expenditure to achieve Strategy 3.0 targets by FY 2030
Leveraging strong project execution and operational expertise to generate healthy free cash flows
Allocating capital prudently with stringent due diligence and robust risk management to ensure returns- accretive growth
India continues to reinforce its position as a leader in clean energy, underpinned by ambitious climate commitments and a growing focus on decarbonisation. With a clear roadmap towards Net Zero emissions by 2070, the country is advancing rapidly on its renewable energy ambitions – driven by proactive policy support, steady investment flows, and improvements in technology and infrastructure.
The total addressable market in renewable energy is significant, with solar and wind power accounting for a majority of the new capacity additions, driven by cost competitiveness, increasing technological advancements, and global commitments to combat climate change, making it the dominant source of electricity generation in the coming decades.
With a tailwind of conducive government policies and initiatives, technological advancements and significant foreign investments, India has witnessed a remarkable growth in renewable energy capacity. Within this evolving landscape, JSW Energy is well positioned to expand its presence, with a strategic emphasis on execution excellence, diversified project development, and long-term value creation.
